Hemp as a fad?

Hanf als Modeerscheinung?

The animal world needs hemp. The valuable plant has gained significantly in popularity in recent years - or rather, regained it. The versatile cultivated plant was already used effectively in ancient China and offers numerous applications for humans and animals.

What is hemp anyway?

The hemp plant is one of the oldest and most diverse cultivated plants on earth, but in recent centuries its positive properties as a useful plant have largely been forgotten. The cultivation of hemp as a useful plant began around 10,000 years ago in ancient China. To date, herbal medicine describes 120 different uses.

If you are worried that hemp will make your four-legged friends high, don't worry: only hemp varieties with less than 0.2% THC are permitted as industrial hemp in the EU. A total of 52 hemp varieties certified by the EU are available for commercial cultivation. Due to the minimal THC content, these varieties are not suitable for producing intoxicating substances. Only the flowers of certified industrial hemp contain this minimal residual THC, which does not have an intoxicating effect. We should pay much more attention to the CBD contained in the flowers...

What is CBD?

CBD is the abbreviation for cannabidiol, one of 480 active ingredients in the hemp plant. Unlike THC (tetrahydrocannabinol), CBD does not have an intoxicating effect. It is valued primarily for its regulating potential and is used as a nutritional supplement for humans and animals. CBD also has a balancing effect on the body and soul of animals - whether horses, dogs or rodents. Animals, like us humans, have their own endocannabinoid system. This system ensures that homeostasis is maintained throughout the organism. However, this system can become unbalanced due to various influences. CBD helps from within and gently contributes to restoring quality of life and balancing the body.

In addition to the important cannabinoids, our organic hemp also contains a variety of terpenes, which cause the typical hemp smell. And that is not the only positive effect of terpenes: they also support the positive effect of cannabinoids. Scientists call the interaction of terpenes with cannabinoids the "entourage effect": the effect of the plant is greater than the sum of its parts.

We have observed the best effect on digestive and metabolic problems with a combination of our organic hemp pellets with CBD and whole hemp seeds. In high-stress situations, our customers report optimal support with a combination of the organic hemp pellets with CBD and the CBD oil.

Please note that the application is always very individual and the effect of our products can be seen in most cases after a few days to 2-3 weeks.

What are the differences between hemp products with and without CBD?

The hemp seeds contain unsaturated omega-3 and omega-6 fatty acids. They also contain minerals, trace elements and vitamins. They are also a real protein bomb, which gives your four-legged friend additional strength and energy and is ideal support, especially during times of growth, shedding and weight loss.

CBD from hemp flowers, which is often used for arthritis, anxiety and stress, differs from hemp seeds in a few key ways, as it is more likely to be used for inflammatory or painful problems, and of course to reduce stress.

Our products are obtained from various parts of the hemp plant: pellets and powder from the flowers, because only the flowers and leaves produce CBD, terpenes, antioxidant flavonoids and other cannabinoids in tiny amounts. The hemp oil and hemp cake, on the other hand, are obtained from the valuable seeds, which have other positive properties due to their numerous vital and mineral substances. The seeds contain at most traces of CBD, possibly from abrasion of the flowers.

Did you know? Hemp oil is not the same as CBD oil

CBD oils are preparations made from the CBD extract from the flowers described above and a carrier oil - usually hemp oil. A CBD oil can therefore also be a CBD extract mixed with hemp oil. However, a hemp oil does not naturally contain CBD. It is also important that a full-spectrum oil is used, as this contains various amounts of natural cannabinoids, terpenes and flavonoids. The body's endocannabinoid system easily connects with all aspects of the oil, thus creating a beneficial entourage effect.

And as if the wonderful application possibilities and plant power weren't enough, all of our products are made from 100% organic hemp and are free from molasses, alfalfa and grains.
