My name is Kirsten Schuster, and I work part-time as a horse physiotherapist and osteopath. Additionally, I offer hair analysis through bioresonance and, thus, bioresonance therapy. I had the opportunity to test arthroFit, for which I am very thankful!
A Gelding with Misalignments & Joint Problems
Schröder, a 12-year-old Oldenburg gelding, came to me a year ago (in November 2022). He has been living with his three horse companions in an open stable with a large paddock, plenty of shelter, and an adjacent pasture (usable almost year-round). Schröder, a former school horse, arrived with significant movement restrictions and harmful joint movement patterns.
To give you a better picture, Schröder primarily loaded his left hind leg, and he laterally splayed his right hind leg. Due to this improper loading, misalignments and uneven loads were evident in the front legs as well, with rotations. Over time, these issues would likely significantly affect his joints.
Due to these facts, a simple "hoof picking" (not to mention farriery) was out of the question. It was evident that his joints needed support to delay, minimize, or ideally prevent potential subsequent damage—once cartilage in a joint is damaged, it is irreparable.
Testing arthroFit
As a horse physiotherapist and osteopath, it is crucial to me that the horses, especially my own, with whom I work, have healthy and flexible joints. Good joint health is essential for a horse's mobility, well-being, and performance. Therefore, I was very eager to test the arthroFit product from Seewinkler Hanferei on Schröder for a period of 6 weeks.
The arthroFit product convinced me right from the start, especially regarding its ingredients. It consists of high-quality components like CBD powder, medicinal mushrooms, and collagen, which are known to have a positive effect, including anti-inflammatory properties on joints. Additionally, the product is manufactured in Austria and undergoes stringent quality control, which is an important aspect for me.
First Positive Results in Just a Few Days
Already within a few days – I believe it was one week after starting the feed – I could observe the initial positive changes in Schröder. He moved more fluidly and gracefully, and his overall appearance had improved. He seemed more vital and content. One week after starting the feed, my farrier, who also offers Masterson treatments, came. At this point, Schröder was receiving such treatment for the third time. My farrier immediately noticed the shinier coat, improved appearance, and smoother movements. During previous "hoof" appointments, only brief "hoof lifting" was possible. However, during this session, we could work on his hooves. It was possible, something I had almost given up on.
Continuous Improvements & Increased Enthusiasm for Movement
During the 6-week testing phase, I observed a continuous improvement in Schröder. He moved much more, and through targeted training, he improved his movement patterns. There were setbacks at times, but his joints appeared to move much more smoothly, and he showed overall increased enthusiasm for movement. A gallop from the far end of the pasture to feeding times became a regular occurrence.
The importance of good joint health in horses cannot be emphasized enough. Healthy joints allow horses to move freely and without pain, contribute to the proper execution of movements, and protect against injuries. Therefore, it is crucial for us as horse owners to do everything in our power to support our animals' joints.
The arthroFit product from Seewinkler Hanferei proved to be helpful in my test. A small tip: it's best to transfer it to an airtight container. After a few days, arthroFit started to clump and harden, but I could easily crumble it by hand. It helped my horse improve its movement flow, support its joints, and overall, gain increased enthusiasm for movement. I can recommend it to all horse owners looking for a natural solution for joint-related issues.
Thank you, dear Seewinkler Hanferei team, for allowing me to test this product!
