Merlin has osteoarthritis and stresses quickly. Painkillers as well as other medications never brought the desired success until the CBD pellets were recommended to Andrea.
Merlin is +- 26 years old and we have been inseparable for over 21 years. My absolute soul horse. Then 4 - 5 years ago we have in the left carpal joint arthrosis detected. He walked partly without lameness and then again not at all. Again and again painkillers and all kinds of remedies that are supposed to help with arthrosis.
Merlin is very susceptible to stress when it comes to other horses. Before he gets into a fight with anyone, he withdraws from the feed. Last year in May I finally found a small stable where he has no stress, are also only he and two geldings. Works great.
But right at the beginning again a Arthoseschub. Then a friend told me about the hemp pellets that she also feeds her 3 grandpa / grandma trotters and which run much better since then.
Since August 2021 I feed every day 60g hemp pellets and since then he is lame-free.
Unfortunately, because of the many riding breaks, he has of course also lost muscle and when he was once fit, I was sick. Anyway now he is doing super well and we go for walks a lot and do ground work.
