PSSM2 and KPU as diagnosis - how Sarah gave her S-dressage horse Disco quality of life again with CBD and got him out of early retirement.
I bought my S- dressage horse Disco 2 years ago and already after 1 week he was in the veterinary clinic. It took me almost 2 years to find out for myself what was wrong with my heart horse, with a total of 4 hospital stays and finally in December 2021 I was told by the vet, "he can retire". Diagnosis until 5 weeks ago still unknown!!!
I came across the products from the Seewinkler Hemp Factory in December and grasped at the last straw, because you hear so much good everywhere.
I now feed hemp powder in the mash, 3 times the amount of hemp seeds than recommended and some hemp sticks every day. Since one week additionally CBD oil, 1-2 drops.
I have on my own tested for pssm2 and KPU (which was not even considered in the clinic) and have a bullseye.
All symptoms like headlessness from one second to the next, muscle tension, unclear lameness, stomach pain, not being able to gallop and much more...are blown away. Of course he still needs to be built up again, he has unfortunately lost almost 100kg due to the severe stomach ulcers. He has in any case regained his appetite and finally goes to the hay again!
I am so happy that he is not so nervous anymore, the hemp products help him so much to break this vicious circle. The first few days he didn't like the smell, but I stuck with it and about 4 days later he ate it without complaint. Same with the hemp tricks, they were ignored at first, now he loves them!
He is now very easily retrained, he is lame free! The muscles wiggle when he is groomed. This was never the case in the 2 years!
